IMAGE PRO PLUS HEMATOXYLIN AND EOSIN MANUAL
The image patch-level quality control used manual segmentation ground truth data from 1,356 sampled image patches.
IMAGE PRO PLUS HEMATOXYLIN AND EOSIN SOFTWARE
One key component of our work is that we carried out a multi-level quality control process (WSI-level and image patch-level), to evaluate the quality of our segmentation results. A semiquantitative analysis of the images was performed using the Image-Pro Plus software version 4.5.0.29 (Media Cybernetics Rockville, MD, USA) in 10 fields per slide at magnification of 100x. Ten fields per retina were randomly selected and the densitometry mean values of HMGB-1 immunostaining were determined. The datasets we publish in this work consist of roughly 5 billion quality controlled nuclei from more than 5,060 TCGA WSIs from 10 different TCGA cancer types and 1,356 manually segmented TCGA image patches from the same 10 cancer. Quantitative image analysis was performed with Image-Pro Plus 6.0 software (Media Cybernetics Inc., Bethesda, Maryland MD, USA). We have generated nucleus segmentation results in 5,060 Whole Slide Tissue images from 10 cancer types in The Cancer Genome Atlas. The image patch-level quality control used manual segmentation ground truth data from 1,356 sampled image patches. To address this, we developed an analysis pipeline that segments nuclei in whole slide tissue images from multiple cancer types with a quality control process. Despite the importance of nuclear morphology, there is a lack of large scale, accurate, publicly accessible nucleus segmentation data. The present study demonstrated that pre-treatment with low-dose simvastatin could increase angiogenesis, reduce inflammation, and improve wound healing in diabetic mice. The distribution and appearance of nuclei are essential markers for the diagnosis and study of cancer. VEGF levels in the CON and DM + SIM groups were significantly higher than levels in the DM group on day 7, but not different among groups on day 14. Neutrophil infiltration in the CON and DM + SIM groups was signficantly lower than that of the DM group.

On day 14, %WC and %CV in CON and DM + SIM groups were significantly increased, with no significant change observed in the DM group. Tissue vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was detected by ELISA at days 7 and 14, post-wounding. On day 14 after wounding, percentage of wound closure (%WC), percentage of capillary vascularity (%CV), and neutrophil infiltration were determined using Image Pro-Plus, confocal fluorescence microscopy, and hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining, respectively.

Eleven weeks after diabetes was induced, all mice were subjected to a bilateral full-thickness excisional skin wound on the back (0.6 x 0.6 cm²).

ADSCs isolated from inguinal adipose tissue were examined for CD90 expression and proliferative potential. Area of interest (AOI) and measurement threshold of adipose tissue slides can be set to screen out objects that meet the requirements automatically ( 11, 12 ). Seven days prior to wounding, the DM + SIM group was started on oral simvastatin (0.25 mg/kg/day). The average sizes of adipocytes were measured in adipose tissue section after hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining using Image-Pro Plus 6.0. ImageJ and Image-Pro Plus (IPP) are both the open-software platform image processing tools for scientific image analysis and have been widely used in life sciences (9, 10). To evaluate the effects of pre-treatment with low-dose simvastatin on angiogenesis and wound healing in a diabetic mouse model.īalb/c nude mice were divided into three groups, including control (CON), diabetic (DM, and diabetic pre-treated with low-dose simvastatin (DM+ SIM).
